Do you know someone, have a child in sports, or maybe you yourself that has some nasty odors in your footwear? If you always wanted to know how to get rid of that funky smell in your footwear, read on…
If you wear sandals, tennis shoes, hockey skates, football cleats, baseball cleats, or anything else you can wear on your feet, they are all odor problems waiting to happen. Due to regular use, body perspiration and
sweat, along with the natural elements your footwear can really get a very strong funky odor that makes you lock them out of the house at night. You clean them only to have that funky odor come back right away. Starting today you will know the best way to treat your footwear and put these funky footwear odors down for the ten count.
These odors can be very overwhelming especially in the summer months because of the warm weather and not wearing socks. Your feet sweat and then you have all of the dirt and debris that you walk through on a daily basis outside. Before you know it your footwear smells so bad that people know you are coming before they even see you.
You also have odor problems in athletic footwear like cleats and hockey skates. If you are a hockey mom you know how bad that equipment can smell, right? You can spray as much air freshener or deodorizer on and in your footwear as you want but that is not going to solve your odor problem. You need a true odor eliminator that is formulated to knock out odors completely and permanently.
A true odor eliminator will suffocate and break down the odor source eliminating it completely and the only way the odor comes back is if the odor source is reintroduced to the affected area. NOTE: With athletic footwear and equipment this is an ongoing problem because of constant use so if you stay on top of it you can be odor free for good.
The reason an air fresheners or deodorizers don’t work is that they just cover up the odors with another smell and they are not made to actually eliminate the odor, rather they are made to smell good for awhile and then you have to use it again. Before you know it you run out and you go buy more, exactly as the product developer wants you to do.
The odor source itself in footwear is an oily or greasy substance that builds up over time with constant use. You need to break this substance down in order for you to eliminate the funky odor.
There is an extremely effective odor eliminator available right here on this website and it’s versatility is incredible. You can use it on any type of odor and know that when you are finished treating the affected areas you will be odor free with no smell left behind. The formula itself is odorless and water based, so for you chemically sensitive people out there you can use this and not worry about your sensitivities. It’s non-toxic and biodegradable, environmentally responsible and completely pet safe too.
It is called KO Odor Eliminator and it has been used on all types of odors and succeeded every time. I have yet to find an odor it can’t eliminate.
My recommendations: You will make a degreasing solution with KO Odor Eliminator to solve your funky footwear odors. You make this solution as follows. Get an empty spray bottle and combine equal parts KO Odor Eliminator and water, then squeeze in a dime size of dish washing liquid. Shake this mixture up and you are ready to knock out these odors.
Why is this so effective? When spraying this degreasing mixture onto your footwear and sports equipment it penetrates deeply and breaks down the oily and greasy substances that are causing the odors and eliminates them on contact. For especially funky odors you can use a medium to stiff bristle brush to agitate the affected area to break down the oily and greasy substances. Make sure you spray liberally and allow it to dry completely before checking results as KO Odor Eliminator will keep working as it dries. Always follow up this technique up by spraying footwear or equipment with undiluted KO Odor Eliminator and allowing it to dry. You should now be completely odor free.
Now that is pretty easy, isn’t it?
