How to KnockOut Pet Odors with KO Odor Eliminator

Here is a few quick tips on how to control pet odors in your home.

How To Remove Pet OdorsTo knock out pet urine odors spray directly on urine accident spots. Brush into surface with brush or finger tips to ensure formula penetrates the entire odor source, then wipe up affected area to almost dry.

You then want to spray the area again and let dry. (KO Odor eliminator keeps working until it dries)

Now, Finish up by treating the air in the room. Spray KO Odorless Odor Eliminator towards the ceiling covering the entire area while backing out of the room. Check results in about 10-15 minutes.

Some pet odors can be more persistent than others so if an odor is still present, repeat all above steps. In extreme odor problems shampooing of the affected area with KO Odor Eliminator is highly recommended. It has shown very impressive results on severe odor laden rugs, upholstery, and carpets.

The key to controlling pet odors is to stay on top of accidents when they happen and to treat them right away. This will ensure you stay completely odor free. Here are some common carpet and upholstery tips for pet odor and urine problems.

Spray KO Odor Eliminator directly on affected area to make contact with the odor source. Make sure to remember to brush into carpet and upholstery, this helps free up any residue from the odor source. If the odor gets embedded into furniture cushions or carpet padding, a syringe may be used to inject KO Odor Eliminator into the odor source.

For removable inserts, you take out the foam cushion and spray KO Odor Eliminator directly onto the odor source, push down with your fist, and then slowly release pressure to wick the formula into the cushion insert. Allow to dry. Next, spray and brush KO Odor Eliminator onto the cushion fabric at the odor source. Allow all to dry and check results. If odor is still present repeat steps.

Note: You should always treat the air within the room when finished; this is an important step to completely Knock Out odors. Spray KO Odor Eliminator towards ceiling to cover the entire area while at the same time backing out of room.

Deeply Embedded Odors - For those odors deeply embedded into the carpet backing and padding, a syringe can be used to inject KO Odor Eliminator into the carpet padding. You will need to inject into & around odor source in 1-3 inch intervals. After pulling the needle out of each injection, push down hard with the palm of your hand then slowly release the pressure. This will spread KO Odor Eliminator throughout the carpet padding and allow it to come into contact with the odor source.

Using a Rug Doctor or Carpet Extractor will give you the best results. Add 12-16 ounces of KO Odor Eliminator to every gallon of water and solution. You should always pre-treat the affected by spraying KO Odor Eliminator onto all of the surfaces to be cleaned. Not all carpets dry the same, but they generally take 1-3 days so if you still smell the hint of an odor it will fade as KO Odor Eliminator continues to work until the carpet is completely dry.

Note: If you have urine in the carpeting, you will need to treat the affected areas every couple of hours during the drying time by brushing KO Odor Eliminator in these areas. I say for maximum results do this for up to 6 hours during the drying time depending on how severe the urine problem was.

Other Pet Uses: KO Odor Eliminator is completely pet safe and can be sprayed directly on kitty litter to control urine and feces odors.  KO Odor Eliminator will start knocking out the urine odors within seconds of contact. The second step is to treat the air in the area of the litter box by spraying the formula into the air and letting it mist down in that area. This will Knock Out the cat litter or cat box smell in the air. You can also mix up a degreasing formula to spray on the walls in the immediate area and on the litter box and wipe clean.

If you add KO Odor Eliminator to your housecleaning arsenal you can completely control odors by adding it to your litter box routine.

KO Odor Eliminator formula is so safe that you can spray directly onto dogs to eliminate that gamey wet dog smell. A few pumps to cover the fur and a light brushing will take care of the problem.

Doggy Bath - When you are giving your dog a bath I want you to lather your dog up like you normally do then saturate their fur with KO Odor Eliminator. Work the formula into your dog’s fur for about a minute or two; your dog will love the massage anyway right? Then rinse and towel your dog dry, after this it’s just a light misting of its fur and he is odorless. Spray in pet holding cages and on pet bedding to eliminate odors. When laundering of pet bedding, add 8-10 ounces of KO Odor Eliminator into the wash cycle for odorless results.
